Hey everyone,

The past few weeks have been packed with exciting progress on Old Mana Game, and I’m thrilled to share the latest updates.

First, the website has undergone some fine-tuning, focusing on improving responsiveness and ensuring it looks great on all devices—whether you’re exploring on mobile, tablet, or desktop. If anything seems off, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment. Your feedback helps make everything better!

Rulebook Draft & Roadmap Progress

Another major focus right now is finalizing the Rulebook. While the core rules are already set, I’m refining the terminology and ensuring that every detail is clearly defined. The Rulebook will soon be available on the website, offering a comprehensive guide on how to play the game. This will include graphical elements to make it even easier to understand.

Alongside the Rulebook, I’m also working on a Roadmap. Whether the Rulebook or the Roadmap gets finished first, they’re both high priorities for December. Together, they’ll provide clarity on the game’s mechanics and give you a look at what’s coming next.

Version 7.1: Playable Classes & Design Goals

Version 7.1 is a major milestone, with four of six classes (Warrior, Mage, Hunter, and Thief) now fully playable. The Paladin and Priest classes are in the final stages of design and will be completed by the end of December. This will bring all six classes into testing, allowing for even more exciting playstyles.

Speaking of testing, my friend Layoz and I have been running extensive playtests, diving into different specs for each class. Today’s matches featured the Warrior’s Shield spec, Mage, and Hunter, and while I may have lost most of the games, every session was thrilling and competitive. One game came down to the final moments, proving that the mechanics create dynamic, edge-of-your-seat gameplay.

However, session length is still a challenge. While today’s second match ran 90 minutes, the goal remains to streamline matches to 30–60 minutes. I’m continuing to refine mechanics to hit that sweet spot.

Looking Ahead: Design Polish & 2025 Goals

December will focus on design polish, including reworking one or two cards and fine-tuning visuals for the Rulebook. Once the new year begins, 2025 will be all about numbers, strategies, and execution.

This means:

• Finalizing the Kickstarter strategy, including stretch goals and marketing plans.

• Choosing the right manufacturer—inquiries are out, but no decisions yet.

• Preparing for the launch with clear timelines and fully developed prototypes.

It’s been an incredible journey so far, and while there’s still work to do, the finish line feels closer with every step. Thanks for following along and supporting Old Mana Game. Your excitement fuels this adventure!

Until next time,

INDI
